This reading room is where I keep you updated with all the latest stories and happenings from around Santa’s home, workshop and stables. All information has been passed onto me by Santa’s helpers.
Who am I? I hear you ask.
My name is Stephen Redfern and I have two children and four grandchildren. It was through telling bedtime stories to my grandchildren that these stories about Santa originated. As things do, one story led to another and another. Soon I had enough stories to write a book, so this is now where we are. I hope that you enjoy these stories as much as my grandchildren have!
I grew up in a small village and on leaving school aged 15, I got an apprenticeship with a joinery firm. After 12 years working with them in the joinery trade, I left to teach at a further education college. For the next 26 years I taught wood occupations to apprentices and full time students. I took early retirement and went self employed as a consultant. During this time I have written several joinery books and helped develop a training website for wood occupation students for the City and Guilds.
I have now turned my hand to writing children’s books. My first book, ‘Stories from Santa’s home’, will be released shortly. This reading room is based on these stories and characters from the book. The second volume is currently a work in progress.
Happy reading!
Stephen
